How the Unity Sand Ceremony Process Works
Before Your Wedding — The Ceremony Kit
Prior to your wedding we will send you a kit that includes everything needed for your unity sand ceremony:
- A)An empty piece of unmounted hourglass for the hourglass case you have chosen
- B)A stand to support the glass during your Unity Sand Ceremony
- C)A funnel
- D)A pair of clear plastic bottles. If you are using my sand, each will be filled with pre-sieved natural silica sand — one white and one wheat colored. If you are using your own sand, the bottles will be shipped empty.
Additional shipping charges apply for destinations outside the Continental United States.
After Your Wedding — Return the Kit
After your wedding, return the complete Unity Sand Ceremony Kit to me. Return shipping charges must be pre-paid. Complete instructions will be included in your kit.
If you used my sand, I will calibrate the running time as follows: 5.75" case 5+/- minutes, 7" case 15+/- minutes and 9" case to 30+/- minutes. I will then seal the glass and mount it in the custom personalized hardwood case you chose. When using your own sand, the running time cannot be guaranteed and will be random.
Engraving Approval
Once I receive the kit, I will prepare your custom personalized laser engraving layout and send it to you for approval before any engraving is done. Production begins after you give final approval.
Completion & Delivery
After I receive the kit and your final engraving approval, please allow approximately 3 to 4 weeks for production. I will then ship your completed Unity Sand Ceremony Hourglass back to you.
